As soon as I speak it is quite obvious I was not born here, I moved from Australia to Edinburgh in 2006 and instantly fell in love, so much so that I worked with an online review company for a number of years blogging and reviewing everything Edinburgh has to offer.
I loved it – until they sold out to another company and I was totally stuck with what to do next? Luckily, I found Digital Mums and got stuck into their Strategic Social Media Management course which was pretty full on – I won’t lie but I loved it. I also got to work alongside a really great brand to gain actual working experience and in August 2016 I graduated and created Wee Bit Social.
I love my work and it gives me the opportunity to work with some of the most creative, amazing small businesses and super talented, really inspirational people, not just locally but thanks to Skype – anywhere in the UK.
My aim is to help small business owners fully understand and really utilise social media to help promote their business. So far I have had the pleasure of working with jewellery designers, authors, professionals within the beauty industry, social enterprise and design.
I love the creativity and collaborative aspect of being a social media manager, but I also really enjoy training small business owners and teaching them the best ways to promote their brand.
Social media is a brilliant way to connect with your customers and find out what they want, but so often I find business owners are not confident with how to approach it and often too scared to have a bit of fun with it, but that’s what I’m all about, I want to bring the fun back to social!
Which is why I would love to show you how to streamline a social media plan that works for you, but also makes you feel confident and communicates to your community just what your brand is all about. Maybe even make it a little fun!
